ISES 2021

The International Sustainable Energy Summit (ISES) is a knowledge-based platform explicitly focusing on renewable energy and energy efficiency. The ISES is organised by the Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) Malaysia and supported by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources (KETSA). The ISES is a biennial event, and 2021 will be the 5th summit.

The inaugural summit was held in 7th and 8th November 2012 in Putrajaya. The conference witnessed a turn out of nearly 300 participants. In 18th and 19th March 2014, the 2nd ISES was held in Selangor, and there was a turn out of almost 680 participants. At the 3rd ISES 2016, the official logo of ISES was launched, and the summit was hosted in Putrajaya with just over 700 participants.

The 4th ISES 2018 marked the first collaborative effort with a State Government, and Sarawak attracted nearly 1,000 participants, and the summit was held on 10th and 11th April. also the first time a B2B matching session was organised with support by the PV industry. The summit typically spans over two days and has two key components: the knowledge (Summit) and business interactions via mini-exhibition and business matching session.
